Types of overcharging
The only charges that you can dispute are the charges you incur for breaking the terms and conditions of your account with the bank. These charges are usually priced between £20-£39 per charge. It is not uncommon to see charges total to over £100 in a month. Your statements will show you what you have been charged.

Please note that Standard charges (such as interest or running an account) cannot be claimed back. It is important to register your claim against unfair bank charges, which will ‘stop the clock’ with regards to your complaint. Any charges that are applied whilst ongoing litigation is continuing will be included from that date (6 years prior) to the point where the Court case is ended.
